State Qualifying Events
Every winter hundreds of SkillsUSA Illinois members partake in the annual State Qualifying Events (SQE). These are regional career competitions and serve as the gateway to compete in SkillsUSA Illinois Championships during the annual State Leadership & Skills Conference. Chapters are encouraged to host local career competitions before advancing members to the State Qualifying Events process.

The Championships: Qualifying Event 2025 Registration Fees
Conference Registration - $55​
The registration fee is per member, advisor, or chaperone and includes stated provided competition materials, Team Based Challenge activity and training materials, and lunch. All participants must be members of SkillsUSA.

Qualifying Exam Registration - $10
The exam fee is per member. All participants must be members of SkillsUSA.
