Ready2 (Pre-Apprenticeship)
SkillsUSA Illinois Ready2 is a pre-apprenticeship program focused on providing opportunities to prepare members to enter a registered apprentice with an employer within the SkillsUSA Illinois Partner Network. The goal of this program is to help remove any barriers to enter the workforce upon graduation. This program is supported by business and industry partners from all over the state with the vested interest in seeing members succeed.
Architecture and Construction
The SkillsUSA Illinois Ready2: Architecture and Construction program ensure members are prepared with the skills to succeed who are currently enrolled in building trades and carpentry training programs.
Through this program, members have the opportunity to earn four different certifications or credentials. Each certification or credential that successfully completed results in members receiving a stipend from SkillsUSA Illinois. The certifications include: First Aid/CPR, NCCER Core Certification, OSHA-10, and SkillsUSA Career Essential Micro-credential. SkillsUSA Illinois also provides opportunities to visit employer and work sites as well as meet and interview with contractors in the local area.

Through a first-of-its-kind partnership, SkillsUSA Illinois will serve as an NCCER Accredited Training Sponsor to allow chapters access to be able to deliver the NCCER curriculum in their classrooms.
